About Us
Safas was founded in 1966 for the production of Expandable
Polystyrene Foam in Istanbul Turkey. Flexible Polyurethane Foam production was started
in 1967 in a small plant in Topkapi area and resumed in the Pendik Foam Plant between
1970 and 1989.
In 1990, the foam operations have moved to the Gebze plant, which, as of today,
supplies the Istanbul Region as the sole major producer of flexible polyurethane
foams.
In 2009, a large capacity, fully automated, new Foam Plant in Ankara region has
been built for the future growth of the market. Ankara plant, with its central location
in Turkey, have evolved Safas in to being a national foam supplier, from an Istanbul
region producer.
Currently, Safas serves the furniture, bedding, automative, insulation, textile,
medical and cleaning industries throughout Turkey.
Highest quality foam production, with state of the art technologies, combined with
45 years market experience and customer care, have taken Safas to be the market
leader of Flexible Polyurethane Foams in Turkey.
